Admissions to the MSEd in Educational Psychology
Prospective students ready to apply for our program can submit their application through the Baylor Graduate School.
The MSEd in Educational Psychology prepares you to make a real difference: in a classroom with gifted learners, alongside students with exceptionalities, or in the growing field of behavior analysis. Students can pursue one of four specializations — General Studies, Gifted and Talented, Special Education, or Twice-Exceptionalities — or apply for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) concentration.
A specialization is an informal designation: it shapes your elective coursework around a particular interest area, but doesn't change the degree itself, and all four share the same admissions timeline. A concentration, by contrast, is a formal designation that appears on your transcript. The ABA concentration has its own admissions deadline and its own application steps, outlined below — so it's worth knowing which one you're pursuing before you apply.
Application Deadlines
Meeting the priority deadline is strongly encouraged for applicants seeking student visas, campus employment, graduate housing, or priority consideration for admission.. General MSEd applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, while the ABA Concentration applications are not reviewed until after the listed deadline has passed.

Application Requirements
Complete the online application through the Baylor Graduate School, including the application fee and all required materials.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient to apply. If you're admitted with unofficial transcripts, you'll need to send official transcripts to validate your admission. Official transcripts showing degree conferral are required before your first day of class.

Upload an updated resume or CV to the Graduate School Application Portal. Include your academic and employment history, participation in professional organizations, and any presentations, publications, grants, certifications, or licenses you hold.
Your personal statement should include your career aspirations, experiences relevant to your chosen track, and why Baylor's program is the right fit for you.
Submit three letters of recommendation.* At least one from a former professor or someone who can speak to your academic potential is encouraged.
* ABA Concentration applicants need a minimum of two letters of recommendation; three is still recommended.
You may submit an optional writing sample, such as a case study or academic article, to demonstrate your scholarly writing.
The GRE isn't required for admission. Include your GRE score report only if you believe it strengthens your application.
